January 31, 2014 — This Sunday marks one of the biggest nights in advertising: NFL Super Bowl XLVIII! And you’d be mistaken if you think it’s just about beer, chicken wings and yelling men. Viewership for the biggest night in professional sports is split almost right down the middle — 52% male and 48% female.

So that leaves the Frank About Women team asking ourselves, “If nearly as many women are tuning in to the big game as men, why are so many of the ads for male-dominated brands and featuring arguably male-targeted humor?”

This year, as we get ready to enjoy the “best” brands have to offer (between fourth downs and trips to the buffet table), the minds at Frank About Women are joining the conversation about the brands and commercials of the night.

Follow us @FrankAboutWomen for live tweeting, and get in on all the action by capturing your friends’ and families’ reactions to the commercials and sharing them on Twitter using #FrankBowl. Get your game face on, and let’s leave it all out on the field … or in the Twittersphere.

Have a safe and fun Super (#FrankBowl) Bowl!
